About this class

Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language (TCFL) Intensive Programme - Level I 对外汉语教师培训班 This course is suitable and ideal for people whose mother tongue is Mandarin, and who want to become a Mandarin Chinese teacher but have little or no teaching experience. This course will equip candidates with essential practical skills and knowledge of teaching Mandarin as a foreign language. The course consists of 20 weeks, 40 hours of Zoom lesson, teaching observation and practice, and 40 hours of home study. Assessment will be done by end-of-term written test, teaching demonstration, and 3000 words research essay. The successful completion of this course will enable candidates to become confident Mandarin teachers at levels ranging from beginners to GCSE in all settings.
