Mandarin Clubs at Eaton House The Manor School
WenLin Chinese School is extremely proud to offer Mandarin clubs to students of Eaton House The Manor (EHTM) School.

For children who love languages and culture in year 4 and year 5, this club is an ideal introduction to Mandarin and Chinese history and culture.
Children will learn basic conversational Mandarin, how Chinese characters are structured, and experience modern and classic Chinese art and culture. For children who may choose to learn Mandarin in senior school, this club will give them a great foundation/introduction.

Maximum Club Size: 10 students
Date and Time: Friday, 4:00pm - 5:00pm

There is significant research which highlights the benefits of learning languages from a young age, and interestingly that learning and speaking Mandarin is different from Latin languages and exercises a different side of the brain.
This club will give an introduction to Mandarin for KS1 children. Children will learn basic conversational Mandarin, and how Chinese characters are structured through fun craft, art, drama and singing activities.

Maximum Club Size: 12 students
Date and Time: Friday, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Term Fee: £100
This club is intended for children who are originally from China, and are keen to further develop their Chinese reading and writing skills.
Each session will be taught by making extensive use of engaging games, and will focus on character recognition, writing, reading of classic Chinese poems and idioms.

There is a 10 student limit for each club, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Parents will be informed by email if their child has gained a place in the club. Upon confirmation, parents will be asked to pay by bank transfer the relevant Term Fee. Upon receipt of payment, a booking confirmation email will be sent.
Please note that as Mandarin clubs are run by WenLin Chinese School, which is a provider external to EHTM, hence parents who apply to the club will be billed directly by WenLin Chinese School.
